This is a nice medium, old and ancient tree blend from Tả Củ Tỷ. 
 
Our producer friend in this area had some difficulty when processing the pure ancient tree batches this year. Many of the batches were cooked too dry so there was a roasted, charred flavor to the tea.
 
We decided to choose processing over raw material when choosing batches this year so we went with the mixed picking grade batches which were processed much better. 
 
This tea brews up quickly into a golden soup. Highly fragrant, the flavor is punchy with fruity, vegetal mossy and forest floral notes. Bitterness and astringency are low with some quick floral sweet huigan that develops after the first cup. Nice active mouthfeel and minerality.
