A beautiful tea from our good friend in Hà Giang. 

This spring’s sun dried and air dried Hà Giang black teas are from old and ancient trees in an area called Ngài Là Thầu. This is a really beautiful area close to the border with China. There are sweeping terraced hillsides that turn gold when the rice is ripe in the Autumn. 

This tea brews up quickly into a rich crimson gold soup. This tea has that nice “natural” flavor typical of many sun dried black teas. Honey sweet with a nice floral fragrance. 

This tea has good endurance and performs well over a longer session.

The raw material used to make this tea so it will be interesting to see how it develops over the months and years.
