A wonderful tea from a friend's garden in the Hồ Thầu area of Hoàng Su Phì, Hà Giang.
 
Our friend has exclusive rights to harvest and manage this tea garden. They use a sustainable low volume production strategy with minimal human intervention to ensure top quality tea year after year.
 
There are two Shan Assamica tea tree varietals present in this garden. One with a longer, narrower leaf and one with shorter, wider leaf. Both varietals are used together in all of the teas our friend makes.  
 
Strong and unique fruity forest flower fragrance with a heavy but balanced sweetness. One of the most interesting things is the light bitterness that builds around your teeth. Light-medium bitterness/ astringency.
 
I think the best part of this tea is how refined and balanced it is. I think the fragrance, sweetness, bitterness and astringency are all in perfect balance.
 
Really skilled, even picking and processing as you'll see by the beautiful leaves. Great longevity with a nice qi and lasting huigan.
 
This tea brews up quick but is quite flexible with brewing parameters. It won't be too strong and unbalanced even if brewed for longer steeps. Experiment and find out what works best for you.
