A nice buddy spring black tea from the Thượng Sơn region of Hà Giang. The tea maker chose leaves from some of the biggest trees in his gardens to make this tea. Only 10kg of finished tea was made this spring.
 
This tea is really balanced for being so bud heavy. There's a thick malty sweetness with a touch of an acrid bite that keeps you coming back for another cup. The fragrance really starts to build in the throat after a few cups. Brews up with a thick crimson liquor that goes many rounds.
 
Nice warming and focused qi.
